Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), Chairman of the U.S. House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, released a statement following the passage of H.R. 4863, the United States Export Finance Agency Act:

“I am very pleased we passed this bill which reauthorizes the Export-Import Bank for ten years. Since 2014, the EXIM Bank has supported $445 million in total exports from our district alone. The EXIM Bank has been further strengthened to support small businesses and will continue to help create and sustain jobs in America. Over the last ten years, EXIM Bank has supported more than 1.5 million American jobs at no cost to the taxpayer.

“The EXIM Bank is integral to a robust American economy, and as such I am proud to support it.”
