Andrew College Faculty Receive Recognition during Spring Semester

Nataliya Apanovich, assistant professor of sustainable agriculture, attended two regional conferences: Food and Agriculture Equity Conference organized by Southwest Georgia Project and Georgia Organics. 

Charles Dolberry, associate professor of mathematics, had a paper published in the Journal of Convex Analysis, Volume 26, Number 2. Its title is “Ky Fan's Dominance Theorem and Eaton Triple.” It is a collaborative work with Dr. Tin-Yau Tam, Professor of Mathematics and Department Chair, University of Nevada - Reno.

In February, Deborah Liss-Green, assistant professor of theatre and director of the theatre program, served as a Faculty Directing Mentor for the New Play Program of Region 6 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.  During Festival, she brought four students to compete in the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship competition. In April - May,  Deborah served on the panel reviewing FY 2020 Partner Grant applications for the Georgia Council for the Arts.

Josh Temples, assistant professor of English and director of the IWRC, was notified that his article “The Representation of Women and the Concept of ‘Womanish’ Behavior in Henry IV, Part I was accepted for publication in The Journal of the Georgia Philological Association. The publication date has not yet been announced. 

Paulette Zinkann, cancer registry management program director, was installed as the President of the National Cancer Registrars Association (1500 members) on May 22.  She also participated in the International Association for Cancer Registrars meeting in Vancouver, Canada attending meetings for the National Association of Cancer Registrars standard setters representing the NCRA.
