The Albany Tech Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser event on Friday, May 31, 2019, beginning at 6:30 pm in the Kirkland Conference Center, with a Silent Auction beginning at 6pm in the atrium of the Kirkland Conference Center.

This year’s theme is “Around the World & Motown Too” featuring cuisine from around the world by Albany Tech Culinary Arts. Five different food stations will be set up so that guest can try foods from Italy, France, Mexico, Southeast Asia and the Southeastern United States. Entertainment for the event will include special live performances of popular Motown hits and a DJ will be walking down memory lane with popular songs that are signature Motown. A dance floor will be available for those who want to show off those legendary Motown moves.

The traditional silent auction will be a bid system with over 30 items included.  The items for the silent auction have been graciously donated by the community.

A multitude of sponsors have again supported the event:  Georgia Power, Dougherty County School System, Bank of Edison, Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission, American Business Center, Albany Herald, WALB-TV, WFXL-TV, Ellis, Ricket & Associates, Procter & Gamble, Albany State University Foundation, Turner Job Corps Center of Albany and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to benefit Albany Tech students in need of financial assistance through the Albany Tech Foundation.
