Merry Acres Middle School FBLA Team Wins Region Title

Merry Acres Middle School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the annual region leadership conference at Southern Regional Technical College, in Moultrie on Friday, January 18.  Students participated in various business and computer science competitions.

The following members were recognized for their achievements and will advance to the state competition in Covington, Georgia in February:

  • 1st place, Business Concepts—Ethan Kendrick

  • 1st place, Business Math & Financial Literacy—Alyssa Holder

  • 1st place, Creed—Janiyah Milledge

  • 1st place, Marketing Concepts—Chloe Parker

  • 1st place, Public Speaking—Meadow Reliford

  • 1st place, Spelling Concepts—Jamal Lovette

  • 2nd place Business Math & Financial Literacy—Nakiyah King

  • 2nd place, Intro to Computer Science & Coding—Hassan McAllister

  • 2nd place, DeAndrew Carter—Spelling Concepts

  • 3rd place, Arin Cheevers—Spelling Concepts

  • 4th place, Parliamentary Procedure Concepts—Mitchell Jenkins

  • 4th place, Spelling Concepts—Jaziah Perry

  • 5th place, Business Math & Financial Literacy—WaNaeshia Phillips

In addition to the individual winners, the MAMS FBLA chapter was awarded 1st place, Largest Local Chapter Membership—Middle Level for Region 1. Merry Acres Middle School’s FBLA advisers are Carene Talley and Lovetta Dudley.
