Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus Recognizes Mayor Dorothy Hubbard’s Public Service

State Representative CaMia Hopson (D-Albany), along with the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus, presented Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard with the third annual “Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award” at the caucus’ annual event to celebrate Women’s History Month. Rep. Hopson also presented Mayor Hubbard with House Resolution 296 to commend her leadership and public service to Albany and the Georgia Municipal Association.

“Mayor Hubbard has made tremendous impacts to the State of Georgia during her service to the Georgia Municipal Association,” said Rep. Hopson. “Every colleagues of hers that I’ve met from GMA raves about her and all that she’s done the help advance GMA’s efforts across the State of Georgia.”

Mayor Hubbard currently serves as the first female Mayor of Albany, Georgia. She has spent her career advocating for and serving Georgia cities through her past and present positions with the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). Throughout her time with the GMA, Mayor Hubbard worked to strengthen relations with the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG), which led to the first joint meeting of GMA’s and ACCG’s respective legislative policy councils and the development of joint legislative priorities.
