Millions of Americans are affected by mental health conditions every year. In fact, approximately one in five children, age 13-18, experience a severe mental disorder at some point and nearly one in 25 adults live with a serious mental illness. Phoebe Behavioral Health is proud to announce that they are expanding their services to include individual therapy services for children, adolescents and adults.

“The need in our community for more mental health services, especially for children, is dire. By expanding our outpatient services to include individual therapy we hope to help more of our community members receive the services needed. We are now able to offer more than just group sessions and medication management for our patients,” said Lisa Schexnayder, Manager, Phoebe Behavioral Health.

Recently, Tequilla Pittman, LCSW, and Ursula Wright, LCSW joined Phoebe Behavioral Health – bringing more than 20 years of combined experience working with all populations. Phoebe Behavioral Health’s outpatient services currently include group therapy and medication management, but with the addition of Pittman and Wright they will now offer individual child and adolescent therapy services and adult therapy services.

The dedicated team at Phoebe Behavioral Health includes physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, nurses and therapists. Together they help each patient towards recovery - focusing on the total needs of the patient and the patient’s family.
