Albany Tech President to Hold Annual State of the College Address Today

Albany Technical College President, Dr. Anthony O. Parker, will deliver a State of the College address on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center.

Dr. Parker will highlight Albany Technical College’s graduation and job placement rates and how we measure up within the seven-county Service Delivery Area and within the Technical College System of Georgia. Information will be presented on how the college currently stands with enrollment, retention, and Governor Nathan Deal’s Complete College Georgia goals. Dr. Parker’s remarks also will list new programs of study coming to the college and information about a 24 percent increase in high school Dual Enrollment participation.

Other information showcased in the presentation includes: college accomplishments achieved in academic year 2017-2018; challenges coming up in academic year 2018-2019; and the status and progress towards the May 2019 completion of the Carlton Construction Academy Phase II renovation.

Dr. Parker will discuss the capital outlay project for the RYDC Building at 2030 Newton Road, which is set to be renovated into the Albany Technical College Criminal Justice Demonstration Center.
