During its annual meeting in Savannah, the Georgia Credit Union League and its affiliated organizations held board meetings that included director elections.

“Volunteers are the backbone of credit unions, and that includes the dedicated people who volunteer to serve in leadership positions for our state support organizations,” said Terry Hardy, president of the GCUL board of directors and President/CEO of MembersFirst Credit Union. “By sharing their time, talents and vision, these board members ensure all credit unions in Georgia are thoughtfully represented and well-equipped to help their members afford life.”

The Georgia league elected two new directors to its board. Roy Bibb, CEO of MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, was elected to serve as District 2 director, replacing Stacy Tallent of Health Center Credit Union, who wrapped up a 12-year term-limited stint on the board. Robert Clampett, president and CEO of Core Credit Union, was elected to serve as a District 3 director, replacing the other term-limited director Barry Heape, DOCO Credit Union president and CEO.

Family First Credit Union President and CEO Stephen Smith was re-elected as director from District 1 and Associated Credit Union CFO Tim Bridges was again named Director At-Large.
