Dougherty High Students Step Up for Volunteering Opportunity

Dougherty Comprehensive High School's FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), JGG (Jobs for Georgia Graduates), and Chick-Fil-A Leaders completed a connecting of the chapter/community service activity on January 15, 2018, at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
The student groups volunteer annually at the Dr. Martin Luther King’s Celebration which honors Dr. King’s birthday. This year, the students served as ushers and greeters during the event.
The students earn community service hours and chapter points for completing the volunteerism component of FBLA, JGG, and CTI. The annual event is sponsored by the H.E.A.R.T (Hands Extended Across Reaching Together Organization, Inc. & Procter & Gamble Paper Products Company.
The volunteer activity was coordinated and supervised by Mrs. Barbara G. Marshall, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Mrs. Tracy Canty and Ms. Brenda Amankwaa.
