DCSS 2018 Teacher of the Year Finalists Named

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Thursday, March 15th, 2018

The list of eight finalists vying to become the 2018 District-Wide Teacher of the Year for the Dougherty County School System has been released.

Each year, schools within the district name their school-wide teacher of the year. A panel of community members then visits each teacher and generates a score using a rubric which is compiled to determine the district wide teacher of the year.

The district-wide teacher of the year is announced at a banquet each year. The person then competes at the state level.

The 2018 DCSS Teachers of the Year are listed below. Finalists are highlighted in maroon.
