Finalist for Next Dougherty County Administrator To Be Announced Soon

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Monday, November 13th, 2017

Due to Dougherty County Administrator, Richard Crowdis announcing his retirement this year, the Board of Commissioners has conducted a national search for the best candidate to fill the position as his replacement. This expedient move was to ensure effectively executing recovery efforts from the January storms. After thoroughly reviewing all 115 submitted applications and resumes, and interviewing final candidates, the Board is now pressing forward with a decision on who will next serve in the position.

Candidate interviews were previously scheduled on Monday, November 6th and Tuesday, November 7th. Of the five finalists selected, one candidate withdrew from the candidate pool prior to their interview. Each board member is now developing their top 4 ranking of candidates. Commissioners will then develop a consensus of their top candidate for employment over the next week, which will be released to the public.
