Staff Report From Albany CEO

Friday, October 20th, 2017

The Albany Civil Rights Institute will honor active military, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters and other first responders during the month of November by offering free tours.   Those who qualify and their families with be granted fee entry by simply showing an active I.D. .

ACRI Executive Director, W. Frank Wilson said, “It is very important that we give something to those who give so much and ask so little”. Wilson noted our community has experienced a lot of crisis moments this year that impacted our military and first responders in unusual ways. The Board of Directors agreed with the suggestion that we needed to do our part in thanking the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country and our community.

The Albany Civil Rights Institute is located at 326 Whitney Ave and is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10-4.
