Phoebe Worth Chief Executive Officer Kim Gilman Elected to Center for Rural Health Board

Kim Gilman, chief executive officer of Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester and Southwest Georgia Regional Medical Center in Cuthbert, was elected to the Georgia Hospital Association’s Center for Rural Health Board of Trustees. Gilman will serve as an at-large trustee.

Gilman has served as CEO of Phoebe Worth Medical Center since 2010 and both hospitals since 2015. She began her health care career with Phoebe Putney Health System in 1992 as a registered nurse at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Prior to being named CEO of Phoebe Worth, she served as the hospital’s chief nursing officer. Throughout her career, Gilman has successfully improved and maintained employee and patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, patient safety, team building, and operational efficiencies.

“Kim Gilman’s proven ability to understand the unique needs of a rural community will serve her well in her role on our Board,” said GHA Executive Vice President Chuck Adams. “We look forward to her service.”

Gilman, a graduate of the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College nursing program, earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from LaGrange College. She is very active in the community, serving on the board of Southern Regional Technical College. She is the past chair of the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
