Teachers/Staff Ramp Up for the New Year

Dougherty County School System teachers, principals and staff members generated a buzz on Friday with their annual Back-to-School Rally.
Held in the arena at Albany State University's Gillionville Campus, the event wraps up teacher's pre-planning week and gets staff members ready to start school.
"It helps us to get the school year started off right," Superintendent Kenneth Dyer said. "It sets the tone for the school year; creates excitement about the changes and opportunities that we have to support our students and just gets everyone hyped about the new year."
