The reigning Miss Georgia 2017, Alyssa Beasley, visited the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Thursday. CMNH is the official charity of the Miss America Organization.

Beasley toured the hospital’s Emergency Department, NICU and Pediatric Unit. The tour ended with Beasley painting with Hannah Croker, a young girl who was paralyzed at age 14 and now paints using her mouth.

“I enjoyed today very much, especially painting with Hannah. I think it’s great to try to experience something that Hannah experiences. That has been one of the best things I have been able to do as Miss Georgia - being able to meet people and experience different things through their life,” said Beasley.

Beasley’s personal platform is “Rise Up: Impact Through the Arts.”
