Staff Report From Albany CEO

Wednesday, April 26th, 2017

State Representative Ed Rynders (R-Albany) was recently appointed by Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) to serve on the House Rural Development Council. This council, which was created by House Resolution 389 during the recent legislative session, will work with rural communities to find ways to encourage economic growth.

“I am grateful for Speaker Ralston’s commitment to helping the citizens and economies of rural Georgia and that he recognizes that one size doesn’t fit all in rural Georgia,” said Rep. Rynders. “I am honored to be selected to serve on this vital council, and I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to study ways to stimulate job creation, address the unique challenges facing our communities and improve the quality of life for Georgians.”

The House Rural Development Council will host its first meeting next month. More details on that meeting will be announced soon.
