Dougherty County Storm Debris Collection Deadline
Tuesday, April 11th, 2017
Now is the time for Dougherty County residents to bring their disaster related debris to the curb for
collection during the final pass. The target date for pick-up is no later than Monday, May 1, 2017. With the help of debris monitors, the county is working to move this process along as swiftly as possible, but need citizens to ensure that they are only placing January storm (1&2)-related debris in the proper areas for collection. All other items that do not belong will only slow down efforts in this massive clean-up undertaking.
Residents are required to follow the process for separating storm-related debris. Debris should be separated into four different categories: normal household trash , vegetative debris , construction & demolition debris, and appliances & white goods . Storm debris cannot be stacked, leaning or bagged.
For your convenience, a flyer outlining the proper waste separation is located on the Dougherty County website, posted on the Dougherty County Government Facebook page, and on Twitter @1DoughteryCoGA .
