Governor Extends State of Emergency in Dougherty, Mitchell County

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal announced Wednesday that he has extended the state declared state of emergency for Dougherty and Mitchell County.

The extension was granted as county emergency managers and officials determined that there is still a need for assistance in the counties and that state resources should continue to be made available to the counties.

The extension lasts until January 25 at 11:59 p.m.
