Albany Advocacy Resource Center will celebrate its 38th Annual Awards Banquet Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Darton Cavalier Arena.  The evening will start with dinner at 6:00 followed by musical entertainment and awards at 7:00.
 
The guest list for the banquet includes over 400 attendees including family members from across the state coming to participate in the celebration. Other guests include state and local leaders, business owners, and community members.
 
During the banquet, board president Sanford Knight and support staff will present awards to individuals served by the agency, outstanding board members, and ARC’s community partners.
 
This year the banquet is centered on the individuals and their accomplishments. Entertainment will be provided by a choir of singers and praise dancers from the Adult Day Program. Ashley Baker is one of the individuals who will be singing and dancing at the banquet. When asked why she enjoys attending she said, “Because it’s good and fun. I like to get an award. I like dressing up and participating. I’m excited to do my praise dance for everybody.
