Dr. Tania Smith, pediatrician, Prestige Pediatrics, announces an Open House at her new and expanded office location, 600 Pointe North Blvd., Saturday, Sept. 10 from 1 – 4 p.m.  

Smith and her staff of 10 employees, including Mrs. V. Allison Tanner, FNP-C, were formerly located at 2420 Westgate Drive, Suite 102.

Dr. Smith, a native of Oakland, California, graduated from Yale University in 1994 with a B.S. degree in Biology and is a 1999 M.D. graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine.  She completed her Pediatrics residency at Kaiser-Permanente Northern California in Oakland, California, and has been a Board Certified pediatrician since 2002.  She previously worked at Albany Area Primary Health Care – East Albany Pediatric & Adolescent Center and the Children’s Medical Center in Tifton before starting her own private practice in 2009. She has served as the region representative to the Georgia American Academy of Pediatrics Board of Directors for the past 3 years.

Dr. Smith has seen exponential growth in her patient caseload causing her to build the new facility.  She is also fluent in Spanish, which allows her to reach an additional underserved population of this community.  She also offers very flexible office hours which is a plus for many families.
