I look forward to showcasing the outstanding and exemplary academic offerings Darton State College and Albany State University have to offer to the community of Crisp and surrounding counties.”

Wilson will also manage all partnerships with local industry leaders in efforts to support continuing education and training needs. The executive director position reports to the provost and vice president for Academic Affairs of Albany State University.

"The Cordele Campus is a hidden gem with incredible potential to enhance the delivery of high quality educational services in a wide range of programs to individuals and businesses in Cordele, Crisp County and surrounding communities,” said Olufunke A. Fontenot, interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at ASU. “The strategic location of the campus on the 1-75 corridor makes it easily accessible to commuters.”

The Cordele Center offers day and evening classes leading to Associate of Arts degrees, Associate of Science degrees and various certificates. Students with any major can complete all of their core course requirements for most two-year and four-year college degrees.

Since January 2016, Wilson has served as the Albany State University special assistant to the president for strategic communications and university relations. Her responsibilities included coordinating strategic communications and building relationships with stakeholder groups internally and externally.
