Slight Decrease in Revenues Reflected in FY 2017 Lee County Budget
Thursday, June 30th, 2016
Despite a slight decrease in the overall operating plan, the Lee County Commission approved its 2016-17 budget Tuesday night with little fanfare.
It took the board less than two minutes, with no discussion, to unanimously OK the coming year’s $23,539,528 budget, which reflects a 0.56 percent decrease over the 2015-16 budget of $23,539,528. The plan is predicated on the expectation that the county’s millage rate, to be set in August, will remain at 14.177 mills.
