Last month was Military Appreciation Month, and to celebrate Phoebe Putney Health System implemented a veteran's group for employees. The Phoebe Family boasts more than 140 veterans, representing eight US conflicts and serving in over 65 different roles including nurses, physicians, support personnel and senior leadership. Phoebe is also home to a number of employees currently serving in the National Guard and Reserves.

Phoebe is committed to supporting veterans and their families. In addition to Phoebe’s new veteran's group, the health system is increasing their efforts to recruit veteran talent. These efforts include building new, and enhancing current, relationships with key military contacts including the Marine Corps Logistics Base located in Albany.
