DOCO Credit Union Awards $11,000 in Scholarships

DOCO Credit Union will honor eleven award recipients' with $11,000 in scholarships on Thursday, May 19th at its Main Branch located at 107 N. Westover Blvd., Albany at 2:30 pm. The winners are:

4. Alex Sparks - Colquitt County High School
5. Grayson Mitchell - Stephens County High School
6. Corey Smith - Lee County High School
7. Mary McCain Potter - Deerfield Windsor
8. Carlye Cranford - Baconton Community Charter School
9. Travia Clemons - Lee County High School
10. Josie Williams - Early County High School
11. Thomas Edge - Americus Sumter County High School
For twelve years, DOCO has been awarding scholarships to worthy students to assist them as they strive for higher education. The candidate pool of over 65 was required to submit an application, letter of recommendation, transcript and written essay. Due to the caliber of students applying, along with their academics, extra curricula activities and qualifications the decision was made to award eleven scholarships for a total of $11,000.00!
