Darton State College honored its top students for their academic achievements on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the 48th Annual Honors Awards Ceremony. Awards were presented for outstanding student activity, student honors, and to students in each academic discipline.

Several students were presented special recognition for their academic excellence, including the 2016 Academic Recognition Student, Austin Duncan, of Sylvester, GA; Carson Gregors, of Leesburg, GA, who placed third place in the English honor soceity Sigma Kappa Delta’s National Literary Analysis Writing winner; and Zhaoling McDuffie, of Leesburg, who received the GA All GA/USA Academic Team award.

In addition, each year a faculty member and student are awarded the Don Hall Student Services Special Award. This year Christina Cooper, Senior Administrative Assistant Humanities Division, and Nicole Holcomb, of Leesburg, GA, were presented with this honor.
