Base Officials Announce Buddy Fishing Tournament

The base’s annual Buddy Fishing Tournament is scheduled to take place at Covella Pond, Saturday, June 4 from 8–10:30 a.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
The tournament is for children ages 15 and younger, accompanied by an adult (Buddy). Registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the event.
No fishing license is required for this event; and the children get to keep all the fish they catch, but they must do all of the fishing.
Visitors without normal base access will be required to provide identification at the main gate. All guests are encouraged to arrive early for proper processing and are reminded not to bring weapons of any kind, drugs or alcohol. Additionally, all fishing equipment such as coolers, tackle boxes, etc., will be searched. Proper identification for those driving a vehicle will include a valid driver's license, registration and insurance.
Trophies will be awarded to both boys and girls for the biggest fish caught and for the most fish caught, following the event.
