Michael Eric Hooper and James H. “Jim” Edge have been named partners in the Albany-based law firm of Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rodgers, P.C., with offices also in Atlanta, Savannah and Valdosta.

Hooper practices in the firm’s Estate Planning and Tax Group. His practice lies in taxation, trusts and estate planning, corporate law, partnership law, probate and the administration of estates and trusts. After graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2000, Hooper served as a combat infantry officer in Kosovo, Iraq and Korea. He receiver numerous citations including the Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Hooper and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters, Elizabeth and Caroline.

Edge practices in the firm’s Business and Banking Group. His practice involves the handling of a broad range of business and related disputes, including derivative actions, non-compete and other business matters. Edge also represents clients in real estate disputes, boundary line, trespass, construction litigation and well as probate, estate, trust and guardianship/conservatorship disputes. After earning his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in 2002, Edge received his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005. He and his wife, J.J., have one son, J. Harris.
