Staff Report From Albany CEO

Thursday, January 21st, 2016

The University System of Georgia recently released data on the Deerfield-Windsor School graduating classes of 2012 and 2013.  More than ninety percent of DWS graduates who qualified for the HOPE Scholarship or the Zell Miller Scholarship performed at a high enough level to retain those scholarships into their second year of college.

The statewide average for HOPE retention is less than 40 percent.

In releasing the information, Headmaster Dave Davies commented, “This is a strong statement about the work that our faculty and students do in preparing for college.  Our mission is to enable our students to succeed from the start of their college careers, and this overwhelming statistic validates our academic program.  It also shows the value added by the DWS experience.”

Statistics for the Class of 2014 will be available this summer.
