Governor Includes Funds to Move National Guard Armory to MCLB-Albany

Gov. Nathan Deal’s supplemental FY2016 budget includes $1.1 million to build a new facility for the Georgia National Guard armory currently on North Monroe Street to Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany, according to State Reps. Darrel Ealum and Gerald Greene
“This has been a unified goal with our Marine Corps Logistics Base, our City Commission, our County Commission, our Chamber, and our local delegation,” Ealum, who represents District 153, said. “As the chair of our local committee formed to coordinate responses to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission, Jeff ‘Bodine’ Sinyard was the continual driving force behind this project.”
