Ground Broken on New Fire Station in East Albany

The city of Albany officially broke ground Monday on a new Fire Station No. 7. The new $878,000 structure is located at the intersection of Elsom Street and Leonard Avenue.
The original No. 7, located on North Mock Road, was built in the 1970s and has fallen into a state of disrepair. It is East Albany’s lone firehouse.
