Albany Mayor Hubbard, Commissioner Marietta Re-Elected

Problems in two precincts prolonged the final tally, but when all the votes were finally counted late Tuesday night, the Albany City Commission’s two incumbents had prevailed in the city’s municipal election.

Mayor Dorothy Hubbard and Ward IV City Commissioner Roger Marietta prevailed in what became heated races over the final weeks of their campaigns, Hubbard pulling away to a comfortable 3,895-2,728 victory over challenger Rosen, while Marietta edged challenger Chad Warbington 944 votes to 855. Tracy Taylor, the third candidate in the mayoral race, collected 262 total votes.
