Staff Report From Albany CEO

Friday, October 23rd, 2015

The Albany Museum of Art is presenting The Fine Art of Dining Culinary Series during the 2015/16 season. Featuring insanely talented chefs from all over Georgia and hosted at the museum and in five private Albany homes, this unforgettable series of soirees will give AMA guests an exclusive opportunity to excite their palate and explore sumptuous plates that are a feast for the eyes, mind and stomach.

The AMA will host the first installment of its Supper Series on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 6 PM at the Albany home of Amy and Chuck Jones. The theme is It’s a Harvest Moon and the featured chef is Jamie Keating, CEC, chef/CEO of JK Culinary, Inc. and owner of EPIC Restaurant in Columbus, Georgia. This installment will be an interactive dining experience while Keating uses food preparation as an art form, along with molecular gastronomy throughout the meal. He will deconstruct foods that guests are accustomed to into a different taste, texture and shape, producing new and unexpected thrills for the senses and palate.

“The museum’s board of trustees is excited about this opportunity to combine passions of many in the area – great food with great art,” said Kirk Rouse, AMA’s board president. “We can’t wait to share these incredible experiences with our guests. They’re going to be blown away.”

The prices for this series are as follows: single dinner party, patron members $200, non-members $250, series discount (7 events), patron members $1,125, non-members $1,400. Tickets are limited to 32 guests per event so those interested must reserve their seat quickly. For more info or to purchase tickets, call (229) 439-8400 or visit albanymuseum.com/supper-series
