Family Day at the Albany Museum of Art Oct. 3rd

Staff Report From Albany CEO

Friday, October 2nd, 2015

The Albany Museum of Art and the Albany Recreation and Parks Department will host Family Day on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Albany Museum of Art. This event is free and open to the public.
This Family Day is fall themed so get ready to get in the spirit of the changing season. There will be multiple opportunities for families to have fun both outside and indoors. Outside there will be multiple races for families to participate in: potato sack, bean bag relay and three-legged. There will also be sidewalk chalk drawing and various games and prizes the children can win.

Inside the museum there will be nine different arts and crafts areas, the AMAzing Space interactive gallery that is always a blast for kids and the opportunity for the other galleries to be explored. There are multiple exhibitions that have recently opened so this will be a great opportunity for families to experience the artwork together.

Kristin Caso, Albany Recreation and Parks Department Supervisor of Marketing and Special Events, said, “It’s a free, high-quality event offered to the community. It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents to spend time with their children and create art projects and memories together.”

All children that attend must be accompanied by an adult.
