Dorothy Hubbard Appoined to GMA Legislative Policy Council
Monday, October 5th, 2015
Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard has been appointed to the Georgia Municipal Association’s Legislative Policy Council, which is responsible for proposing GMA’s legislative platform and engaging other city officials in the legislative process throughout the year.
“Mayor Hubbard has extensive knowledge of both municipal issues and the legislative process, making her an outstanding candidate for the Legislative Policy Council,” GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton said. “We look forward to her input.”
GMA’s Legislative Policy Council is part of a grassroots lobbying campaign that is the focal point for the organization’s legislative policy effort, combining the actions of six standing policy committees with a district outreach program. The council also provides guidance and input to GMA’s legislative staff during the state legislative session.
Hubbard will attend her first Legislative Policy Council meeting in Macon Thursday.
