MCLB Albany to Host Preparedness Fair
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015
Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany officials will hold a Preparedness Fair Tuesday, September 22, here to raise awareness and educate military personnel and families on the importance of being proactive and prepared should disaster strike.
America’s PrepareAthon is a national campaign of action to increase preparedness and resilience through awareness of the hazards that threaten communities and to increase the practice of preparedness actions to minimize vulnerabilities to disasters and emergencies.
This year’s overarching campaign theme is: “Don’t Wait. Communicate. Make Your Emergency Plan Today.”
Marine Corps Police Department personnel, MCLB Albany Fire and Emergency Services personnel, MCLB Albany Game Warden, medical personnel, Boy Scout Troop 23, Public Health personnel and the Red Cross will be on-hand to provide information to participants.
America’s PrepareAthon culminates with National PrepareAthon Day on September 30, 2015, as a capstone event that promotes preparedness activities across the country.
