Leesburg City Council to Keep Property Tax Rate at 6 Mills

Members of the Leesburg City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to schedule a series of public hearings that likely will result in the city maintaining its current tax rate of 6 mills.

The council decided to follow the advice of Interim Finance Director JoEllen Brophy, who pointed out that the city, to maintain the same revenue level, has an option to roll back city tax rates by a minuscule amount.
