Back the Blue Movement Gaining Momentum in Albany

Although it has started becoming a familiar sight around Albany and other parts of Southwest Georgia, a group of well-meaning residents are hoping to see even more blue ribbons, signs and flyers, showing support for the area’s law enforcement community.
The grassroots Back the Blue campaign to support law enforcement that started with a simple message of encouragement on the marquis at Gieryic’s Automotive Repair on Dawson Road in Albany, has slowly grown into a movement that has hundreds of Southwest Georgia residents showing their appreciation for members of the area’s police officers and deputies.
