Albany Municipal Candidates Get Early Jump on Qualifying

Most of the announced candidates in Albany’s Nov. 3 municipal election took care of qualifying chores on the first day of the week long process Monday, a day that was also notable for the absence of one expected candidate and the potential candidacy of another.
Incumbent Mayor Dorothy Hubbard was the first in line to qualify at 8:30 Monday, and she was quickly followed by Ward IV challenger Chad Warbington and Ward I incumbent Jon Howard. Later in the day, Ward IV incumbent Roger Marietta and mayoral challenger Tracy Taylor added their names to the ballot.
