Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Hosting Business Expo Thursday
Wednesday, September 16th, 2015
Businesses from across the community will be gathering at the Hilton Garden Inn this Thursday for the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo, showcasing local merchants.
This year’s expos runs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and will feature displays from over 50 area companies, designed to give local shoppers, and fellow business leaders an opportunity to learn more about the Albany area’s diverse commercial landscape.
“The business expo is a great way for everyone to come together and learn about area businesses, and learn about what opportunities are available,” said Albany Area Chamber of Commerce interim President Barbara Rivera Holmes.
Holmes said the expo has had an increased profile in recent years, which is great for the local economy and business climate. She said last year more than 400 people attended the event.
“It has continued to grow every year in terms of attendance and the number of vendors which is a testament to how important the event is for the community,” said Holmes. “We hope to see even more people come out this year. It really is a great event.”
Many of the vendors, as well as the Chamber, will also be giving away samples and door prizes throughout the evening. The Chamber is also raffling off a $500 gas grill.
Admission to the expo is open to the public with a valid business card or $5 at the door without a card. To learn more about the expo visit www.albanyga.com or contact Cassandra Mathis at (229) 434-8700 or via email at [email protected].
