Sherwood Christian Academy Ribbon Cutting on Friday
Thursday, August 20th, 2015
After nearing completion of a yearlong, $5 million construction project, Sherwood Christian Academy has opened its doors as one campus for grades K4-12th. To celebrate the grand opening, SCA will hold an official ribbon cutting and media tour on Friday, August 21, at 2:30 p.m. at the new front entrance of the campus at 1418 Old Pretoria Road, open to the media and community.
Expansion includes an elementary wing, media center, kitchen and cafeteria, as well as renovation of the upper campus, which includes a brand new science lab. The primary goal of the project was to move the elementary school, located on Stuart Avenue, to the upper campus so all students unite on a single campus. “It is exciting to finally have all students and staff together in one place. We’re proud of the impressive campus we have been planning for 10 years. It’s a huge investment into our community, and we know the expansion and upgrades will help us better serve our SCA families as well as the families we will serve in the future,” said Headmaster Brian Dougherty.
