Johnny Isakson, David Perdue Split on Highway Funding Bill

Georgia’s Republican U.S. senators split on a highway funding bill Tuesday, as a procedural vote failed and the clock kept ticking toward the latest congressional deadline.
The backstory: Last week the House passed a bill extending highway funding through Dec. 18, relying mostly on tighter tax enforcement to come up with $8 billion in road money.
