Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation Elects New Board Members and Officers

William B. Peard (Atlanta), Partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP, was elected chairman of The Georgia Trust Board of Trustees.
Ira Levy (Rome), who has chaired the board for the past two years, stepped into the office of immediate past chairman.
Mr. Peard is a graduate of Washington and Lee University. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Atlanta History Center and is a member of the Society of International Business Fellows, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, the Atlanta Technology Angels Group and de Tocqueville member of United Way of Metro Atlanta. He is also a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
A new officer was elected by the Board of Trustees: John Mitchener (Atlanta) as Treasurer.
The new Trustees are Kingsley Corbin, Carolyn Llorens, John Spinrad, Kimbrough Taylor and Ben Young, all from Atlanta.
Diana Williams (Macon), Hay House Board Chairman, will serve as Ex-Officio Trustees for the coming year.
Leslie G. Callahan III (Atlanta) and Nathaniel Hansford (Lexington) were elected as Emeritus Trustees.
Leslie G. Callahan III (Atlanta), Margaret Calhoon (Atlanta), Nathaniel Hansford (Lexington) and James Warren (Atlanta) retired this year from the board, with the Trust’s thanks for their hard work and dedication to the organization.
