The 37th Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Set for Sept. 26th

An illustrious lineup of celebrated music VIPs and luminaries will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 26th at the Georgia World Congress Center located in downtown Atlanta.

The awards will be televised live across the state of by Georgia Public Broadcasting and will showcase Georgia’s broad spectrum of talent in one magical evening. The evening will begin with a VIP Red Carpet and Governor’s Reception, a seated Gala Dinner, followed by the main event filled with tributes, salutes and exclusive performances, and presentation of the highly anticipated GEORGY Award. Posthumous inductees honored this year include: Philip Walden, JR., Tim Wilson and Sonny Limbaugh.

Friends of Georgia Music Festival, INC. Pres. Dr. Bobbie Bailey said, "This year’s show promises to be a great success. American Southern soul and R&B singer, musician, and songwriter, the tenor vocalist for the soul vocal duo Sam & Dave, Sam Moore will be presented the Performer Award, along with American rock and blues singer-songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist, Gregg Allman (Songwriter Award recipient), Southern Rock band Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ (Group Award recipient), along with Monica Pearson, renowned Atlanta TV personality, with over 45 years of experience in radio, TV and newspaper, who has emceed the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show for several years. She will receive The Chairman’s Award, among other outstanding industry VIPs. We are excited to continue recognizing Georgia’s outstanding contributions to the music industry as we have done for 37 years."
