Sherwood Christian Academy announces the hiring of Chad Evans as Athletic Director and Head Varsity Football Coach. Coach Evans will fill the position that Otis Covington will vacate on June 15^th to return to the Houston County School System. Covington had previously worked in Warner Robins before coming to Sherwood Christian Academy in 2010.  In 2014, Covington led the Sherwood Eagles to become GICAA (Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association) State Football Champions.  

Coach Evans graduated from SCA in 1993.  He was a member of the State Championship Basketball teams in 1989- 1990 and 1990-1991.   He completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program from Darton State College Physical in 1997.  Coach Evans has a total of 18 years experience in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.  His football coaching experience includes seven years at SCA. Coach Evans, his wife Pam, and his three children have been a part of the SCA family since 1985.
