After serving 13 years Lee County school superintendent, Larry Walters confirmed Tuesday he will retire effective July 1.
“Somebody once told be that when it’s time to retire, you will know it,” Walters said. “I’m going to miss all the people I have worked with here, but it’s time to move on. I want to stress that I’ve got no problems with the School Board, they have been a wonderful board to work with.
