AB&T Elects Walker Davis New Chairman

Walker Davis has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for Community Capital Bancshares, Inc. and its subsidiary AB&T National Bank. John P. “Jay” Ventulett, Jr. has been reelected as Vice Chairman. 

“We are very pleased that the Board of Directors has chosen Walker Davis to succeed W. David Campbell, as Chairman following David’s retirement. Walker joins Jay Ventulett, who was reelected Vice Chairman, in providing leadership for our Boards of Directors.” stated Luke Flatt, president and CEO. “The wealth of experience and knowledge of these two very successful businessmen will certainly help move us forward in achieving our vision of becoming the gold standard of community banking,” added Flatt. 

A native of Albany, Walker Davis attended Westover High School and received his BS degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech. He returned to Albany in 1997 and is an entrepreneur and business owner. He is president of Albany Home Patient Care, Inc. and a partner in Health Products Plus. 

Jay Ventulett was founder and principal of Howard, Ventulett and Bishop Insurers, Inc., which later merged to become J. Smith Lanier & Co. of Albany. He is currently Vice President of J. Smith Lanier, is a founding board member of Community Capital and AB&T, and is a native of Albany. 

In commenting on their leadership, Luke Flatt stated that “both these men have demonstrated extraordinary business acumen, a genuine commitment to this community and exceptional leadership ability. We are very fortunate to have them in their respective leadership positions.”
