Vanessa McRae, director of the Albany State University Center for Undergraduate Research, has been elected to serve as councilor for the Council on Undergraduate Research located in Washington, D.C.  She will serve on the Undergraduate Research Program Directors Division.

McRae has been an active member since 2012.

The Council on Undergraduate Research leadership works with agencies and foundations to enhance research opportunities for faculty and students and provide support for faculty development.  The organization has over 10,000 individual members and over 650 college and university memberships. The council includes twelve divisions.
