Thursday, April 30th, 2015
Saying that “It’s just time” to step away from the post he’s held for the past six years, Albany Police Chief John Proctor informed interim City Manager Tom Berry on Wednesday that he planned to retire from the force effective May 29.
Proctor, who served 28 years with the Tallahassee Police Department before coming to Albany, said he leaves the position with nothing but love and prayers of hope for the city.
