Tuesday, April 21st, 2015
The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce announced today the resignation of President/CEO Chris Hardy.
“Chris has been a valuable member of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce team and we are sad to see him go. He has let us know that he is pursuing outside opportunities that will allow him to grow professionally, and we wish him nothing but the very best,” said Chairman of the Board Tommy Clark. “The Chamber is fortunate to have a staff that has a history and experience with the organization and can work with the board through this transition process.”
During Hardy’s tenure as Chamber CEO, the Chamber launched the “Think Local” campaign, developed the Chamber’s Institute for Leadership Development and identified and implemented efficiency and cost saving strategies.
“It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to serve the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce for the past three years. I’ve enjoyed working with our talented staff and I’m proud of the strides we’ve made at the Chamber. That said, I am perusing outside opportunities that will be beneficial for me as I continue to grow professionally,” said Hardy.
