The Georgia Bankers Association’s Financial Literacy Program is an effort by bankers to encourage financial education in the most practical sense. The objective is to educate Georgia’s children on banking services and personal finance.
AB&T is the Partner-in-Excellence for Alice Coachman Elementary School. Last Friday, four of their associates carried the savings message to second graders at the school. The purpose of the visit was to help the young students develop a lifelong savings habit.
Bank staff delivered this important message to all of the 2nd graders at the school -- 4 classrooms with a total of 90 students. Upon completion of the lesson, all of the students (and teachers) were left with gold AB&T piggy bank and a suggestion that they use their little piggys to start savings!
